More than 40 years of window-and-door experience.
I've spent more than four decades working in the window-and-door industry and helping homeowners understand what they are actually buying.
Over the years, I've seen good products installed poorly, important details left out of quotations, confusing specifications, unclear warranties and homeowners asked to make expensive decisions without enough information.
That experience is why I created AskRandy: to give homeowners a knowledgeable second set of eyes before they sign.
What I look for
Product, installation and the details between them.
A window or door is only part of the project. I look at the quotation as a whole: product specifications, glass, installation method, insulation, exterior and interior finishing, warranties, exclusions, allowances and anything that may need clarification before you commit.
Questions before signing
I identify missing or unclear items and give you practical questions to take back to the contractor.
Experienced perspective
I use decades of industry experience to help you understand the strengths, weaknesses and uncertainties in a quotation.
